Introduction
In the name of Allah, most gracious, most merciful. Praise be to Allah, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished, and by whose help goals are achieved. With Allah’s help, and relying on him, we started the strategic development project.
The completion of the strategic plan of the Reason and Wisdom Charity Organization (2024-2026) is an important step and a quantum leap in terms of managing performance and raising its executive efficiency, especially as we are on the threshold of a new year. We ask Allah the Almighty that it be a blessed years for the Gambian and beyond. The importance of the strategic plan lies in the idea that it represents a new start for the Reason and Wisdom that draws a clear road map in accordance with its mission that aims to build people and empower them economically, culturally, and educationally through qualitative and high-quality Programmes. As well as its vision that aims at making the greatest impact in the geographical scope of its work.
Efforts to prepare the plan, formulate its strategic and enabling objectives, and identify the beneficiaries were evident through an extensive set of workshops and brainstorming meetings that examined the reality of the Reason and Wisdom, identified gaps, and monitored challenges according to a disciplined and informed scientific methodology. This document is considered the main guide for the course of action in the reason and wisdom through identifying the beneficiary groups and the desired impact on them, as well as the vision, mission, values, and strategic and enabling goals, which helps in setting out priorities, Programmes and activities. Therefore, the objectives of this strategic document can be summarized as follows:
To concentrate on benefiting from the reason and wisdom financial and human resources, and capabilities, and to invest them properly in achieving the strategic goals, in a way that serves the beneficiaries. We ask Allah Almighty for success and aid to achieve the highest return with the most appropriate capabilities, and that to bless the efforts that have been made in order to achieve the desired interests and the general benefit to which the leaders and employees aspire. Moreover, we hope this document contributes to the development and improvement of performance and work, preserving work values and ethics, and boosting the ability of workers to give and exert efforts.
The Founder of Reason and Wisdom
The Founder Sheikh Musa Foday Kanteh, (May Allah Preserve Him) Islamic Scholar and Propagators, with Masters in Education, Degree in Sharia and Diplomas in Professional Development and Human Psychology has served many years as a Teacher prior to the Establishment of the Organisation.
Background History of Reason and Wisdom
Reason and Wisdom is a Charitable Organisation Registered under the Companies act 2013,Company number: 2017/C4669 on 11th day of July 2017, with Memorandum of understanding between ministry of basic and secondary Education (MoBSE) and Reason and Wisdom in the Light of Qra’an and Sunna Non Governmental Organisation and the supreme Islamic council of the Gambia, with the reference RG GSIC 0041 with the Objective of supporting the Poor and Needy. The decision to Establish the Reason and Wisdom was initiated by the student of Sheikh Kanteh {An Islamic scholar and propagator}, in their large number suggested the opening of a medium for easier communication between them and their teacher.
When the Student experienced long delays to get their calls to their teacher due to the overwhelming calls on him to express their gratitude and extend salutations, the idea of a forum became the easier solution. The fora was formed to provide platform for sharing of information, ideas, knowledge and wisdom about Islam and Society. It also serves as the link between Sheikh Kanteh and his student as well as a medium to receive lessons and learning points. The fora grew in terms of membership as more students got registered and received teaching on the Qur’an / Sunna. in July 11 2017, the forum metamorphosed into Organisation registered with the Government and the supreme Islamic council of the Gambia. Executive Committee and monthly contributions was set up under the chairmanship of brother Buba Sannah to steer the affairs of the Organisation for twelve months.
Aims and Objectives
Reason & Wisdom is Non-Profit Charitable Association in the Gambia. Non-profit, doing charity in the Gambia.

Providing support and sponsorship to family members who are poor, needy, Widows and Orphans, especially the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid, it will be periodically or temporarily according to circumstances of the beneficiaries and the circumstance of the organisation.
2.
Providing support for medical treatments or medical bill based on the availability of funds.
3.
Providing support for studies, by providing scholarships or remission of fees for each of the following stages: Memorization of the holy Qura’an – Primary -Preparatory – Secondary – University -Postgraduate studies.
4.
Providing opportunities for meetings and inter actions, increasing fraternal ties between members, and supporting Humanitarian Charitable Projects for the Renaissance of the Gambian people.
5.
Affiliate with or subscribe to assist any other Organisation within or out side the Gambia having similar objectives with the organisation.

To build schools in the communities thereby enhancing free access to education with no tuition fees.

This organisation project proposal focuses on children’s, access to quality and relevant Islamic Education and Knowledge and support the Under privileged as a result of the death of their parents or poor family back grounds, who need the support of everybody to put a smile on their faces and ensure that they are given quality education and care to compete with their peers who have advantage over them. This will enable them to also contribute positively to the development of their communities and their country as a whole.

This project will develop them morally, physically, socially and politically as great leaders of the future.

The project will prevent them from falling into the hands of evil people to become liabilities to society which is not the will of Allah for their lives.

The Mission of the Organisation is to provide support and sponsorship to family members who are Poor, Needy, Widows, Orphans, disaster Relief, especially the holy month of Ramadan, Eids, Tobaski and conduct free Islamic Education for all. This will be periodically or temporarily according to circumstances of the beneficiaries and the circumstance of the Reason and Wisdom.
